Enhanced Steps Support Service Ltd aims to offer person centre care for child, adolescent vulnerable young people up to the age of 18+. This includes providing specialist support and care services for;

  • Children Looked After, care leavers and their families.
  • Mental health needs
  • Special Needs Children
  • Homelessness and complex needs
  • Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children

Our priority is providing an excellent standard of care and support towards continuous and sustained recovery through delivery of social care, health and housing that supports independence, building resilience, promoting well-being, and transforming lives within the wider community.

We are guided by person centred approach that aids to empower through identification of individual’s goals , hopes ,needs , capability and potential of individuals and creating safe space that permeates growth and improve wellbeing

The service was developed by experienced CAMHS practitioner with NHS experience; identified gap and built Enhanced Steps with a total of 24 years’ experience within the NHS who have
built a great reputation for providing specialised care for young people with challenging behaviour and/or emotional needs across
various organisation and collaboratively worked with local authority to ensure needs of young people /children looked after are met.

Evolution of standards through yearly review of policies and guidance to support young people and staff being safe in our housing services.

Maintenance of service provision that is financially efficient and in line with the agreed purchasing agreement and Value for money framework.
Provision of a service that allows the least restrictive recovery to occur in the community by facilitating young people who may have mental health needs to step down into a safe place of residence.

Ensure proactive promotion of young people’s involvement in their care and triangulation with any individuals who may be acting in the best interest of the young person to be in the community.

Engage stakeholders and local partnerships to support young people who may have challenging behaviour to integrate back into
the community.

Use the safer recruitment framework to recruit staff who are skilled, competent, and attain a high level of training to identify and meet young people’s needs.

Appraise the performance of our staff and ensure all support to staff promotes positive job satisfaction and high morale.
Ensure the workforce maintains relevant and regular training and frequent supervision to enhance their standards of competence.

Build and maintain a strong working partnership with local authorities and professionals, attaining a reputation of excellence in all facets of our service delivery.
Ensure our services evidence outcome measure in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure quality assurance auditing is comprehensive and with rigor to maintain high standards of service provision.
Provide alternative ways of supporting young people in crisis who are living in the community.
To ‘bridge the gap’ between inpatient care and community support to facilitate more time-effective discharges. Implementing enhanced support for young people continuing their recovery in the community.

Our Children’s Home are of high quality, inspected, and meet standards of health and safety. Our homes are situated in areas that are close to local amenities to aid in children & young people integrating into the community.
We aim to provide children & young People with long-term developmental skills in a safe and welcoming home environment.
Our objectives are:
– Promoting independence.

-Encouraging holistic well-being through continual assessment of the capability of each young person’s needs tailoring this to a co-produced daily occupation plan.

Children deserve security, care, and guidance. Our mission is to create a warm, respectful, inclusive setting to help them grow into independent adults. We engage social workers, families, and professionals for the best outcomes.

These plans will galvanise talents and areas of interest to formulate future goals.
– Maintain a safe, stable, and secure environment for all young people.
– Promote safety in equality and diversity needs to be respected.
– Equip young people with training and education in areas of activities of daily living inclusive of but not exclusive to cooking, healthy diet, household maintenance, vocational skills, financial management, access to education, and emotional well-being resources.
– Encourage the maintenance of community relationships with care and support networks such as family and friends with the integration of their voices in young people’s care plans with their consent.
– Our services will be available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
